New Album Launch 9th May 2026 World Heartbeat Music Academy Embassy Gardens London https://worldheartbeat.org

UK jazz and blues artist John Heavens will launch his highly anticipated new album Ninety Minutes From New York To Paris at World Heart Beat Music Academy London on 9th May 2026.

A songwriter, composer, flautist and captivating live performer, Heavens trained at Trinity College of Music in Greenwich, London. Drawing on a rich musical heritage, he creates performances that connect audiences across the generations, blending popular influences with a fresh, contemporary jazz and blues perspective.

The new album is a carefully curated collection of timeless songs, reimagined through beautiful arrangements by renowned arranger, producer and bassist Geoff Gascoyne, who will also perform at the launch. Highlights include IGY and Walk Between The Raindrops by Donald Fagen, Michelle by The Beatles, Running Blue by Boz Scaggs, and Honesty by Billy Joel, each given new life through unique jazz and blues interpretations.

Joining John Heavens on stage will be members of the newly formed 'Stellar Collective' an exceptional ensemble of internationally respected musicians including Matt Home (drums), whose dynamic control and deep swing have made him a sought-after collaborator across the UK jazz scene, Pete Whittaker (Hammond organ), celebrated for his soulful sound and blues-driven groove. Mike Outram (guitar), known for his warm tone, lyrical phrasing and stylistic versatility. Vasilis Xenopoulos (saxophone), an internationally acclaimed performer and composer blending hard bop, soul jazz and modern traditions. George Hogg (trumpet), affectionately known as “Hoggy,” bringing flair, energy and expressive brilliance. Mark Nightingale (trombone), whose virtuosic technique and rich tone, has made him one of the most respected players in contemporary jazz. Lynieve Austin (vocals), one of Europe’s most compelling voices, known for her powerful stage presence and international touring career.

Together, they will present an evening that celebrates the enduring legacy of jazz, soul and popular song while reimagining these works for today’s audiences. Ninety Minutes From New York To Paris is both a tribute to the music that shaped generations and a forward-looking statement about collaboration, creativity and musical storytelling between each track.
